Gusto is excited to partner with Saffron & Salt and Roberta of Paolucci Pasta for a small group experience centred on the traditions of southern Italy. Get set for a hands on exploration of orecchiette, one of the region’s most iconic pasta shapes. Guests will learn not just how to form the pasta, but how it connects to place, from Puglia’s wheat fields to the rustic kitchens where it has been made for centuries.
The experience unfolds over three courses, each reflecting the bold yet balanced flavours of Southern Italy. Expect dishes the very best of this part of Italy. Each course will be paired with sommelier selected wines chosen to complement and elevate the flavours on the plate, offering insight into how regional Italian wines interact with their local cuisines.
Set within Saffron & Salt, Halifax’s premier culinary retail and cooking class space, this event is designed to be both educational and relaxed. Guests will move between demonstration and participation, tasting as they go, with opportunities to ask questions, refine technique and deepen their understanding of Southern Italian cooking.
